We left Winster around 09:00 in my car and joined the M5 near Birmingham arriving at Plymouth at around 14:30. We were booked on the Brittany Ferries ship “Pont-Aven” sailing from Plymouth to Santander in Northern Spain.
When we opened the door to our cabin, we found only one bunk even though Karen had booked a twin cabin. I spotted a ladder for the upper bunk and we then spotted that the upper bunk was concealed behind a flap in the ceiling!
So now that all seemed OK, we had a quick trip to the onboard shop and bought a few things. After a snack in the self-service restaurant, we read for a while and then turned in for the night.
